About Us
Akeela dental care was humbly founded by the Chief Doctors Dr Faizur Rahmaan and Dr Akeela Rahman in 1994 as a small clinic catering to general dentistry.
Foreseeing the future requirement of implants in dentistry, in 1996, we adequately trained and certified ourselves from ITI- Straumann, Switzerland.
In a span of 2 decades, dentistry has developed by leaps and bounds with major developments in digital dentistry, imaging and diagnostics. Our reliance on machinery has increased and the doctors skills are more fine tuned to provide quality and pain free dentistry.
We have invested and grown in this atmosphere with backward integration into dental lab technology to provide our patients with premium service.Our chief doctor himself is a skilled technician and in most cosmetic makeovers he does the ceramic addition in the lab to create the best possible and life like restorations.Playing with the hue , chroma and value of the crowns with a vast array of materials is second nature and breathes life in to the crowns we make .Our technicians also rigorously trained by him in this delicate art work ceaselessly to provide quality work in the most challenging situations.
We have continued to stay abreast in the field of implants using various brands available .On completing the masters and teachers program in immediate loading implants from International Implant Foundation, Munich, we are convinced that implant dentistry is the most conservative and convenient in terms of cost, time and ease of restoration. We are proud to be associated with Simpladent, Switzerland, as our principal source of implants and research in this niche area.
It will be our pleasure to treat discerning patient with the highest aesthetic requirements through this amazing field in our mentioned field of expertise.
While treating the high and mighty, we also believe in giving back to society. Cura dental foundation is our way to provide dental care to children and senior citizens in orphanages and oldage homes. To realise this, we have started a charitable trust called Cura Dental Foundation in another venue and with baby steps, we hope to cater to a large part of underprivileged society to be pain free and eat comfortably.

Dr. Umadevi
Dr. Umadevi, was the recipient of the Tamil Nadu Young Women’s Scientist Award in the field of Medical Sciences for the year 2004. She was a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, in 2005. Dr Uma Devi has been the recipient of the Fogarty Fellowship of University of Berkeley, California as research scholar. Her fellowship in the field of oral pathology and oral medicine has been at University of California, San Francisco (USA). She has done her training in Clinical Research and Bio-statistics at University of California, San Francisco. She was also recipient of the best Teacher award, awarded by The TamilNadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 2012, for outstanding contribution to the advancement of Dental Sciences. She was the recipient of Fellowship of Indian Society of Dental Research (Indian Division of International association of Dental Research) and Indian association of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathologists for outstanding contribution to the field of Dental Sciences. She has delivered guest lecturers in National and International forum and has well over 75 publications in national and international, peer-reviewed journals. She has been a faculty in several workshops on Research methodology for post graduate and research scholars in many institutions and is currently recognized Ph.D guide and co-guide by Tamiladu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. Dr. Umadevi is an alumini of Government Dental College, Chennai, where she did her graduation and post graduation and has been practicing dentistry for more tha.n three decades. She is currently Professor of Oral Pathology at Ragas Dental College, Chennai, India with 25 years of teaching experience in the field of Oro-facial sciences.
Dr A D Senthil Kumar
Assistant Organising Secretary of IACDE National conference held at Chennai in 2010. Train and supervise medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures, as appropriate. Manage the daily operations of a specific dental program, patient care unit, or research function, as appropriate to the objectives of the program. Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of dental technical and support staff as required. Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Participate in specified health promotion, education and prevention programs. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Managing the training and development of staff. Compiled and analyzed data collected from dental surveys, dental care programs, patient-related records, and patient records to evaluate quality of service received by patients. Participated in in-service training and other continuing education programs.
Dr. Sainath Matsa MDS
MDS – oral and maxillofacial surger. FCLP – fellow in cleft and palate surgery (Germany Frankfurt- johann wolfgang goethe university klinik).FHRS – Fellow in hair restoration surgeon (USA – hair science centre colorado). Ex Professor and chief incharge for cleft and cosmetic surgery in SRM dental college , Dept of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Associate Member of Hair restoration surgeons of INDIA (AHRS). Member of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery of India – AOMSI. Past joint secretary of Tamilnadu state chapter – oral and maxillofacial. surgeons. National and International speaker with both national and international publication. Reviewer for the abstract- Euorpean journal of head and face medicine. Nominated for young surgeons achievement award and award winner – Dec 2015 – Bharat Jyothi award – Newdelhi (INDIA). Author – Atlas of oral and maxillofacial trauma vol 2 – chapter – Facial hair restoration in secondary traumatic deformities .
Dr. M.K. Anand
Dr.M.K. Anand, M.D.S., is a professor in the department of orthodontics, Ragas dental college, Chennai. He obtained his masters in orthodontics from Ragas dental college, Chennai and B.D.S from Annamalai University.
He has several national presentations to his credit and the one at 8th APOC & 47th IOS conference in New Delhi, 2012 was awarded the best clinical paper by the IOS. His presentation at the 25th international ISDR Conference ,in Chennai 2012 was adjudged the 3rd best paper. He has undergone training in the field of infant orthopaedics for cleft patients from Dr Barry Grayson of NYU. He has conducted a workshop on three dimensional treatment planning using CBCT. He has several publications in orthodontic speciality journal.
