Sedation dentistry

Modern dentistry is virtually painless. When you walk into our dental office, it is more like a spa with a vibrant garden outside, fresh flowers ,inviting wall colours and a soothing atmosphere. Apart from being dentists professionally, we are happy people with a true concern to solve your dental issues. We will distract you from your dental worries with our meditative channel music and live TV channel showing your favourite channels inside the operatory.

For those who do need medication, we have a choice of

1

oral sedation

Oral sedation _ minimal to moderate dosage. Pill can be taken an hour before procedure. Most become comfortable with this and combined with local anaesthesia, the procedure can be completed with patient compliance.

2

IV sedation

Sedative is administered via a vein in the arm. It is more intense and it is monitored by our anaesthetist throughout the procedure.

3

inhalation sedation

Nitrous oxide gas is mixed with oxygen in mild quantities. It is very safe and can be given for children. The effects wear off completely after the dental procedure. this is the only method where the patient may even drive back home after the sedation.

4

General anaesthesia

Hospitalisation required.
